Oregairu Synopsis
Hachiman Hikigaya has suffered from past traumatic experiences that made him become very cynical and closed off. Particularly, his trauma involves his social life which is why is adamant about keeping people out. This led him to become even more twisted, developing his own mindset that the concept of youth is a lie.
This mindset concerned his homeroom teacher, Shizuka Hiratsuka. She then forced him to join the Volunteer Service Club, with the hope that helping other people might change his personality.
In this club, Yukino Yukinoshita is the sole member. She is the most beautiful girl in school, but is also a loner like Hachiman. However, she is colder and smarter than him. Eventually, the club grew when a certain Yui Yuigahama joined them.
How will Hachiman help other people? Will he really change?
