Upcoming anime Play It Cool, Guys just keeps on giving and giving. Days after a new trailer of the series was released, the official website for the TV anime now introduces a new cast member and unveils the ending theme song artist for the show.
Japanese voice actor Makoto Furukawa is set to join the cast as Motoharu Igarashi, a brilliant novelist nearing his 30s. Makoto is the voice behind popular characters Saitama in One Punch Man and Miyuki Shirogane in Kaguya-sama: Love is War.

He will be joining other cast members Chiaki Kobayashi (Hayate), Koki Uchiyama (Shun), Yuichiro Umehara (Takayuki) and Shoya Chiba (Soma). The four main leads will be performing the anime’s ending theme song, titled “Flash!”. Fans can watch the official music video for the song on September 18 on Avex Pictures Official YouTube channel.

Play It Cool, Guys is a slice-of-life, comedy manga written and illustrated by Kokone Nata. The story centers around the lives of four guys who are the perfect mix of cool and clumsy.

The anime adaptation of the series is set to debut on October 10. Each episode will run for 15 minutes. The series is also scheduled for two seasons.
Chiaki Kon is directing the anime, with scripts written by Makoto Uezu. Eri Taguchi will take care of the character designs. Masato Nakayama will handle the music of the series.
Earlier, the official website for the anime released a trailer for the series, which previews the opening theme song “Seishun Kippu” by mafumafu.
