Upcoming anime Play It Cool, Guys just keeps on giving and giving. Days after a new trailer of the series was released, the official website for the TV anime now introduces a new cast member and unveils the ending theme song artist for the show.

Japanese voice actor Makoto Furukawa is set to join the cast as Motoharu Igarashi, a brilliant novelist nearing his 30s. Makoto is the voice behind popular characters Saitama in One Punch Man and Miyuki Shirogane in Kaguya-sama: Love is War.

Play It Cool, Guys is a slice-of-life, comedy manga written and illustrated by Kokone Nata. The story centers around the lives of four guys who are the perfect mix of cool and clumsy.

Yen Press, the publisher of the manga in English, describes the plot as follows:

They’re so goofy, they’re cool.
Enter: a group of cool guys who seem like they’ve got that unapproachable swag. But look closer and you’ll find a bunch of dorks who’ve gotten the act down pat. So sit back, grab some popcorn, and enjoy watching these clumsy dudes try to look cool all day, every day.

The anime adaptation of the series is set to debut on October 10. Each episode will run for 15 minutes. The series is also scheduled for two seasons.

Chiaki Kon is directing the anime, with scripts written by Makoto Uezu. Eri Taguchi will take care of the character designs. Masato Nakayama will handle the music of the series.

Earlier, the official website for the anime released a trailer for the series, which previews the opening theme song “Seishun Kippu” by mafumafu.
