“Rick and Morty has always skewered and elevated pop culture tropes through an irreverent lens, and Get in the Robot, Morty! takes on the beloved genre of mech-fighting manga with that characteristic sardonic flair,”

Senior Editor Bess Pallares said in a statement announcing Rick and Morty: The Manga.

Fans of adult animation will discover personalities, comedy, heart, and, of course, the violent, outrageous combat they know and love in these pages, from Toonami’s Midnight Run to Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty.

“If anybody could make Gendo Ikari appear like a respectable father, it’s Rick Sanchez,” Pallares continued, “and we hope to further sully the good reputation of manga with future volumes of Rick and Morty: The Manga, exploring new genres and tales primed for a shakeup.” Rick and Morty: The Manga Vol. 1 – Morty, get in the Robot! will be available in paperback on November 1, 2023.
