Fans of the fantasy-romance genre, here’s for you! The official website of G’s Channel announced on Monday, January 2, that the light novels Shunka Shūtō Daikōsha by Kana Akatsuki are getting a new manga titled Shunka Shūtō Daikōsha Moka Momoyo.
Japanese artist Yuriko Asama, best known for illustrating Angel Beats! The Last Operation, Mushi to Medama to Teddy Bear, and Angel Beats! Heaven’s Door, will serve as the artist for the manga. The big announcement was coupled with an illustration by Asama to commemorate the news.

First launched in 2021 under Dengeki Bunko publishing imprint, Shunka Shūtō Daikōsha begun as a light novel written by Kana Akatsuki with illustrations by Suō. Its story is described as follows:
Takes place in a world where the only season is Winter. Winter lives a lonely existence, and so they create Spring. A short time later, due to the wishes of the land, Summer and Fall are also born, and the four seasons are complete. The human children in charge of bringing in a new season are called the “Proxies of the Four Seasons.”

The series secured the top spot on Takarajimasha’s Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! (This Light Novel Is Amazing!) guidebook’s New Title category in 2021.
The upcoming manga by Yuriko Asama isn’t the first manga adaptation of Shunka Shūtō Daikōsha. The light novel series previously inspired a manga illustrated by Nappa Komatsuda in July 2022. Hakusensha’s LaLa magazine published the said adaptation.
No release date for the latest manga adaptation has been revealed yet.
