Solo Leveling returns with a new side story with the title Solo Leveling “Alone” released in South Korea on January 21. The first chapter of the new series contained a dedication in honor of the late Jang Sung-rak a.k.a Dubu. The CEO of REDICE and the original artist for the series. Fans of the manhwa mourned his untimely passing on July 23, 2022, after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage from a chronic illness.

The manhwa’s art will be illustrated in Dubu’s honor by a group of artists that worked under him before his passing. It is still unknown at this moment whether there will be more than one unique story or what its plot will be.
Kakao Page’s official YouTube channel also teased the return of the series. The teaser confirms that Sung Jinwoo will continue to be the main protagonist of the series.
