The official website for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Yoshinobu Akita’s Sorcerous Stabber Orphen (Majutsushi Orphen Haguretabi) light novel series has made an announcement that will surely excite fans. Set to premiere on April 12th, the highly anticipated Majutsushi Orphen Haguretabi: Seiiki-hen (Sanctuary Arc) series was revealed, along with the talented theme song artists and a brand new promotional video showcasing the captivating chaos in Urbanrama.
Showtaro Morikubo, who lends his voice to Orphen and has previously performed opening themes for the show, has once again showcased his musical prowess with the new opening theme song “Motive Rain.” In addition, the anime staff has treated fans to a sneak peek of the new ending theme song “Shūen no Destiny” (Destiny of the End) by Mai Fuchigami.
Fuchigami also performed previous ending themes for the anime.
The new cast members for the Sanctuary Arc include:
- Yōko Hikasa as Azalie
- Akira Ishida as Armagest
- Hiroki Yasumoto as Jack
- Satoshi Hino as Pluto
- Tomoko Kaneda as the Silver Moon Princess
The third season of Majutsushi Orphen Haguretabi, Urban Rama-hen (Chaos in Urbanrama), made its debut on the AT-X channel on January 18, and is now available on Tokyo MX, WOWOW, and BS Fuji, as well as several streaming services throughout Japan. Fans worldwide can also catch the season on Crunchyroll as it airs in Japan.
The anime series, which began with a 13-episode first season in January 2020, gained popularity quickly among fans worldwide. Funimation streamed the show in Japanese with English subtitles and also provided an English dub. The second season premiered in January 2021, and once again, Funimation streamed it with both language options.
The digital release of the licensed novels by J-Novel Club is underway. According to the company, the story begins as follows:

Akita started the light novel series with illustrator Yūya Kusaka in 1994. The franchise marks its 25th anniversary with a new anime. After a four-year hiatus, new volumes were released in December 2019 and January 2021.
