Kyoto Animation’s version of Kumiko’s third year of high school will premiere in 2024.

Ayano Takeda, the original light novel author, wrote the story of Kumiko’s third year in high school in two novel volumes. The first volume arrived in April 2019, and the second volume arrived in June 2019.

The franchise’s first 13-episode television anime series debuted in April 2015. The anime was streamed live on Crunchyroll, while Ponycan USA distributed the series on home video. The Gekij-ban Hibike was inspired by the anime! Kitauji Koko Suisougaku-Bu e Yokoso’s “flashback” film in April 2016.

In October 2016, the 13-episode Sound! Euphonium 2 sequel series premiered. Crunchyroll streamed the series again as it aired, and Ponycan USA published it on home video. In September 2017, the Gekij-ban Hibike! Euphonium: Todoketai Melody compilation film was inspired by the sequel series.

In 2017, Kyoto Animation announced two new anime films for the franchise. The film Liz and the Blue Bird, starring Mizore Yoroizuka and Nozomi Kasaki, premiered in Japan in April 2018. In November 2018, Eleven Arts released the film in theaters in the United States with English subtitles and an English dub. In March 2019, Shout! Factory released the film on Blu-ray discs and DVD.

Sound! Euphonium is the second new film. In April 2019, the film Our Promise: A Brand New Day (Hibike! Euphonium: Chikai no Finale) was released in Japan. Kumiko is a second-year student in the film. Eleven Arts presented the film in the United States in July 2019, and it will be released on home media in June 2020.
