It goes without saying that Spy x Family is a smashing success. Tatsuya Endo’s novella, first published in March 2019, has been a fan favorite for years, and its animation has beyond expectations. With season one completed, it appears that the Spy x Family anime is now in development. We also now know when Spy x Family season 2 will be published, thanks to an update.
The revelation comes from Anime Japan, which uploaded a slew of fresh information regarding the industry’s biggest releases. We learned that season 2 of Spy x Family will be released this year. Spy x Family is anticipated to arrive in the fall of 2023, so fans should note October on their calendars.
After all, anime follows a strict release schedule, with the Fall season always beginning in October. We do not yet know when Spy x Family Season 2 will be released. CloverWorks and WIT Studios have confirmed that the project will be completed again. Season one of Spy X Family is already available to watch in its entirety on Hulu and Crunchyroll.
It’s near impossible that you have not heard of Spy x Family at this point, but in case you live under a rock, here’s the synopsis for the series:
World peace is at stake and secret agent Twilight must undergo his most difficult mission yet pretend to be a family man. Posing as a loving husband and father, he’ll infiltrate an elite school to get close to a high-profile politician. He has the perfect cover, except his wife’s a deadly assassin and neither knows the other’s identity. But someone does, his adopted daughter who’s a telepath!
Season 2 of Spy x Family isn’t the only anime in the works right now, as fans will know. The collaboration is also working on a film, and Anime Japan revealed details about the espionage comedy. Spy x Family: Code White, as it turns out, is the title of the film, and it will contain an original tale written by Endo. The film is now scheduled to be released in December, giving fans plenty of time to catch up on Any’s exploits before the release.
