Good news for Spy x Family fans! The anime series about a family of secret agents, killers and mind-readers is coming back with more episodes and a movie. The official website has announced the release dates and shared some teaser posters showing off the dual life of the Forger family. In addition, it has revealed a premiere window for the second season.
The anime’s duality is hinted at by Spy x Family’s visuals
The first visual shows three character portraits in a dark background. On the far left, Yor wears her assassin costume as the Thorn Princess. In the middle, Anya rides on her dog Bond. On the far right, Loid wears his suit and poses as a spy. The second visual shows the other side of their secret lives, with three scenes of the characters in a bright background. At the top, Loid tries to make Anya study. In the middle, Anya cuddles Bond. At the bottom, Yor cooks, while Bond and Anya look scared next to her.
About Spy x Family
Spy x Family is an anime adaptation of the manga by Tatsuya Endo. It premiered in spring 2022 and had its second cour in fall. The series became very popular and won over viewers with its original humor, likable characters, simple premise and heartwarming family moments. Two of the most renowned anime production companies in Japan, Wit Studio (Attack on Titan, Ranking of Kings, Vinland Saga) and CloverWorks (Bocchi the Rock!, My Dress-Up Darling, Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai), collaborated to produce the anime.
The second season of Spy x Family will premiere in October 2023. It will adapt the Cruise Adventure Arc from the manga. In this arc, Yor has to protect a client from assassins on a cruise ship. However, Loid and Anya also join the trip, so she has to conceal her identity from them.
The movie of Spy x Family is called Spy x Family CODE: White. It will be released on December 22, 2023. The manga author supervised its original story. The movie poster shows the Forgers in a snowy place.
