Unfortunately, yes. Due to an unforeseen incident, while the straw hats were traveling to an unknown destination, they were swept away by a big current and they were, once again, for the nth time, separated.
Honestly, after the time skip, the straw hats are constantly being separated. Each in different groups. The first separation incident was in Punk Hazard. Though it was only for a short time, the straw hats still got strayed away from each other.
The first major split happened in Dressrosa. Before the final battle began, the straw hats decided that they would spill the group in two: One group would go to Zou and the other would remain in Dressrosa to fight. Those who went to Zou included Nami, Sanji, Chopper, and Brook, while those who remained in Dressrosa were Luffy, Zoro, Robin, Franky, and Usopp. Those who remained in Dressrosa were able to fight with Doflamingo’s group, and because of Usopp’s unforeseen bravery, the straw hats were able to acquire a grand fleet.
The next split happened in Zou before the Whole Cake Island arc. Upon learning that Sanji was taken by Capone Bege and taken to Big Mom to get married, Luffy decided that he would go to Whole Cake Island to personally take Sanji back (he even planned to include Sanji’s wife if he was to marry her, which of course, did not happen). Once again, half of the straw hats proceeded to Whole Cake Island, while the others went to explore Wano kuni along with the heart pirates, the samurai, and some of the people from the Animal Kingdom. The Wano group included Zoro, Robin, Usopp, and Franky, while the Whole Cake Island group included Luffy, Nami, Chopper, Brook, and of course, Sanji.

When they finally reunited in Wano, the One Piece fandom expected that the Straw Hats would be together for quite a while, however, as expected of Oda, an unexpected twist happened and the straw hats are once again split into two groups: Luffy, Jinbei, and Chopper who went with Jewelry Bonney to Vegapunk’s Island, and Franky, Zoro, Usopp, Nami, Robin, and Brook who are still on the ship with Vegapunk.
After being made aware of the events of the Reverie, everybody was quite certain that the story would shift to the ‘Saving Sabo and Vivi’ narrative, but it did not. Nobody knows where the story is headed, and none of the theories make sense at the moment, so all we can do is wait patiently for another chapter.
