The official website for Miri Mikawa and aki’s Sugar Apple Fairy Tale light novel series released the full promotional video and visual for the anime. The PV previews the opening theme song “Musical” by Minori Suzuki and the ending song “Kanaeru” (To Grant) by Sumire Morohoshi. The video also reveals more cast members for the anime and announced the anime’s January 6th premiere date.
The anime will debut on January 6 on AT-X, Tokyo MX, BS Asahi, and Sun TV, and on January 7 on KBS Kyoto. The show will be available on Crunchy roll when it airs.

In charge of directing the animation at J.C. Staff is Youhei Suzuki (Urara Meirocho, Planet With, Kiyo in Kyoto: From the Maiko House). The series composition is by Seishi Minakami (A Certain Scientific Railgun, Occult Academy, No.6). Character design is by Haruko Iizuka (Umi Monogatari, School-Love!, Horimiya). The music composer is Hinako Tsubakiyama (Sabikui Bisco). The music is produced by Flying Dog.
Both the manga adaptation by Yozara no Udon and the original light novel series has been licensed by Yen Press.

Sugar Apple Fairy Tale is written by Miri Mikawa with illustrations by aki. From March 2010 to February 2015, seventeen volumes were released by Kadokawa Shoten under their Kadokawa Beans Bunko imprint. From November 2012 through October 2014, Hakushensa’s Hana to Yume Online website serialized the manga adaptation with artwork by Alto Yukimura. Since November 2021, Kadokawa Shoten’s seinen manga magazine Young Ace has been serializing the manga adaptation with art by Yozora no Udon.
