Manga creator Ichi Ichikawa took to their X account to announce that their BL manga Taidama, Okaeri (I’m Home, Welcome Back) will be adapted into an anime. To mark the occasion, Ichikawa also created an illustration in celebration of the news. Details about the production and release are yet to be revealed.

The manga’s narrative revolves around the daily life of Masaki Fujiyoshi, a self-doubting stay-at-home husband, his accomplished salary man spouse Hiromu, and their two-year-old son, Hikari. As they navigate the ups and downs of life, they gradually grow closer as a “family” with each passing day, experiencing both joy and sorrow together.
The manga made its debut with the pages of Fusion Product’s THE OMEGAVERSE PROJECT e-book anthology back in 2016. Subsequently, Fusion Product released the fourth volume of the manga under the title “Tadaima, Okaeri – Hitoyasumi – (I’m Home, Welcome Back – Breather-) in April 2019. In conjunction with the announcement of the manga’s upcoming anime adaptation, Ichikawa also revealed that the manga will resume serialization and the a fifth volume will be forthcoming.
