A new three-episode original anime of Coleus’s Dream was announced on the grand finale” screening of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Guren no Kizuna-hen), the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime franchise’s anime film. Coleus’s Dream will premiere this fall.

Coleus’s Dream is originally a text story included in a bonus extra booklet with the Blu-ray Disc release of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime S2. It served as a primary plot inspiration for the Scarlet Bond movie. Between the first two anime season, the “epic spectacle story” takes place as Rimuru deals the intrigue surrounding Coleus Kingdom. Takuma Terashima who voices Satoru Mikami (Rimuru’s original body before he got isekai’d) is performing the opening theme song.
Coleus’s Dream is the second initiative in the “Tensura 10th Project”, which commemorates the 10th anniversary of Fuse’s original novel series. How to Spend a Certain Holiday (Toaru Kyūka no Sigoshi-kata), the first initiative, is Fuse’s special set story between the 9th and 10th light novel volumes. The story began serializing on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Become Novelists) site, on February 20, the same day that Fuse launched the original story on the same website exactly 10 years ago.
Yuzo Takada, the creator or the manga 3×3 Eyes, will publish a manga adaptation on Monthly Shonen Sirius.

The third initiative is a promotion to mark reaching 40 million copies sold, 35 million in Japan and 5 million overseas. The fourth initiative of the franchise is a first in-person “major event”, and the fifth and final initiative is the franchise’s first stage play scheduled for August.
The TV anime of Taiki Kawakami’s manga, which was adapted from the light novel series by Fuse and Mitz Vah, debuted in October 2018. The anime was streamed by Crunchyroll and FUNimation Entertainment streamed the English dub. The first cour (quarter of the year) of the second season debuted in January 2021. The Slime Diaries: That Time I was Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensura Nikki Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken), Shiba’s spin-off manga, made its anime debut on Tokyo MC in April 2021. Following the conclusion of The Slime Diaries, the season’s second cour debuted in July 2021, resulting in nine consecutive months of TV anime from the franchise in 2021.
Fuse wrote an original story for the Scarlet Bond movie. The plot is about Raja, a new country located to the west of Tempest. Rimuru and his friends become embroiled in a long-running conspiracy surrounding a woman with a mysterious power. Rimuru along with his commander Benimaru also encounters another ogre survivor named Hiiro, who used to look up to Benimaru.
The movie premiered on November 25 in Japan where it debuted at #2 and earned 297 million yen ($2.14 million) from the sale of 225,000 tickets. In its first three days, 313,000 tickets valued at 416 million yen (about $3.19 million yen) were sold. The movie made US$1,588,491 in its first three days after it premiered in the United States and Canada on January 20. Crunchyroll premiered the film on January 18 in U.K. and Ireland, January 19 in Australia, and January 26 in Mexico. In 2023, the movie will also be released in the Middle East and other regions. The TV is getting a third season.
