An official website for the anime adaptation of Tsuyoshi Yasuda‘s The Blue Wolves of Mibu (Ao no Miburo) manga went live on Thursday. The website unveiled a teaser video, a key visual presenting the main character Nio, and the staff for the upcoming project. The teaser video features art from the manga. Details about the anime’s release date have yet to be announced.

Directing the anime at Maho Film is Kumiko Habara (I’m Standing on 1,000,000 Lives., I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss, Surgeon Elise). The series’ script is written by Kenta Ihara (Gamera -Rebirth-, I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss, Uncle From Another World). The character designers are Yūko Ōba (I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss, I’m Standing on 1,000,000 Lives) and Miyako Nishida (My Unique Skill Makes Me OP even at Level 1, If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord). Toshiki Kameyama is the sound director and composing the music is Yuki Hayashi.

Kodansha USA Publishing has licensed the manga in English, and it describes the plot as:

The Blue Wolves of Mibu is a manga series written and illustrated by Tsuyoshi Yasuda. The manga has been serialized by Kodansha’s shōnen magazine Weekly Shōnen Magazine since October 2021. Kodansha has published the 10th volume of the manga on Thursday. The manga will be published in English in spring 2024 under Kodansha USA Publishing.
