An announcement on the official X account of the anime The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy (Seiken Gakuin no Maken Tsukai) adapted from Yū Shimizu and Asagi Tōsaka‘s light novel series stated that the anime will premiere on October 2 on TV Tokyo at 1:30 a.m. JST (effectively, October 3) before airing on other networks. The anime will be streamed on ABEMA on September 25 at 1:30 a.m. JST (effectively October 24). The opening theme song “Sen-nen Ai” (Thousand Year Love) is performed by Chai Fujikawa and the ending theme song “Yururi” (Leisurely) is performed by singer-songwriter Kaho.

The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy is a light novel series written by Yū Shimizu and illustrated by Asagi Tōsaka. Thirteen volumes of the novel have been published by Media Factory since May 2019 under their MF Bunko J imprint. Yen Press licensed the novel in English in North America. A manga adaptation by Asuka Keigen has been serialized in Kadokawa Shoten’s shōnen manga magazine Monthly Shōnen Ace since November 2019.
