Another win for the romantic-comedy fans! We’ve certainly been getting a lot of wins recently! Ever had a crush on someone who keeps forgetting their glasses? If not, Komura can’t relate because he certainly has a raging crush on his seatmate! Ready to tune in to Square Enix’s newest anime, The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses?
Square Enix announced on Friday that the television anime adaptation of Koume Fujichika’s manga The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses (Suki na Ko ga Megane wo Wasureta) will air this year. To commemorate the announcement, Koume created an illustration.

The official website of the anime is conducting a countdown that will end on January 31 at 8:00 p.m. JST (6:00 a.m. EST) (6:00 a.m. EST).
Square Enix Manga & Books is publishing the manga in English, and this is how the tale is described:
Komura starts his school year with a new seat neighbor in homeroom—the bespectacled Mie. Before long, he’s nursing a raging crush on his quirky classmate who’s always forgetting her glasses! While this might be ideal for Komura to get to know Mie better, will his poor heart give out from the daily strain of being up close and personal with the girl he likes?!
In November 2018, Fujichika published the manga in Square Enix’s Gangan Joker magazine. On January 20, Square Enix will release the manga’s tenth collected book volume. Comiket has also acquired the manga from Square Enix and will be distributing it digitally in English.
This new anime is certainly another one to add to your list of must-watch this year, it’ll add a little romance to the jam-packed year the anime community is about to face!
