Is anyone else missing the legendary Ken Kaneki and the rest of the Tokyo Ghoul gang? Sui Ishida has a gift for you! On Tuesday, the creator of the classic manga and anime tweeted a new sketch that gave tribute to the renowned series.
Since its premiere years ago, Tokyo Ghoul has remained an anime classic, with author Sui Ishida moving on from the story of Ken Kaneki to begin a new manga series in Choujin X. The new series has just begun, and an anime adaptation has yet to be confirmed, but this hasn’t prevented Ishida from returning to one of his most famous works, as the artist has unveiled fresh imagery of Ken in his ghoulish garb.
Sui Ishida came to his Official Twitter Account to share the new art of one of his most popular designs, with over one million netizens following his account.

The newest Tokyo Ghoul anime series ended in 2018, with the anime franchise being famous enough to warrant two live-action films and a video game that put players in the shoes of Ken Kaneki. At the moment, there is no word about Tokyo Ghoul returning to the world of anime or new chapters of its manga being produced, but it is evident that both the franchise’s creator and its fans still have a lot of affection for this world of flesh-eating ghouls.
If you haven’t had the chance to read Sui Ishida’s latest manga narrative, Choujin X, the series has aspects of Tokyo Ghoul in its bones, as stated in the official description:
“Best friends Tokio and Azuma do everything together, even if most of the time it feels like Tokio is just stumbling along in Azuma’s cooler, more talented footsteps. But when they’re attacked one night by a superhuman mutant called a choujin, Tokio finally has a chance to shine—by turning into a choujin himself! Being a superpowered creature isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, though. Tokio has to hide his transformation from his family and dodge a truancy charge at school, all while dealing with the increasingly odd incidents happening around town!”
Kaneki certainly looks awesome in the new art! Let us know what you think!
