The light novel series of Tsuyokute New Saga will be getting a TV anime adaptation! They released the first teaser, revealing the staff, cast, and the July 2023 premiere. It is also a joint animation project of Sotsu Co. Ltd., Makaria, and Yokohama Animation Lab.
The key visual and main character visuals were also shared to give us the first look of the anime. As for the broadcast schedule, the official Twitter account and website have recently opened to give updates in the near future.
Tsuyokute New Saga Synopsis
Kyle, a magical swordsman, managed to kill the Demon Lord with the help of his companions. Peace is finally achieved in the land, but with a huge price. Kyle’s fellow heroes and companions have died – leaving him as the sole survivor.
Stumbling upon a mysterious artifact in the Demon Lord’s lair, Kyle was able to transport back in time. Particularly, in the period before the conflict started with the Demon Lord. Kyle used this second chance to not create the same mistakes ever again and to prepare well for the incoming war. He reunited with his companions, and determined to make less casualties.

The teaser shows the remnants of Kyle’s battle with the Demon Lord: the land in chaos, and his companions dead one by one. Kyle then encounters the mysterious stone or artifact after defeating the Demon Lord. He then awoke in the past where his fellow companions are still alive. He takes this opportunity to make more prepared choices.

The key visual showed the five main characters of the story aka Kyle and his companions. Kyle is noticeably holding his sword and facing the viewers. Sildonia is the one on his left with her big hat. The woman touching the mysterious artifact on his right is Urza. Below Urza, Seran and Lise are also present.

Tsuyokute New Saga Light Novel Background
Masayuki Abe is the author of Tsuyokute New Saga light novel that was published in the Alpha Polis novel website in 2016, although Abe already published the light novel online as early as 2012-2013. The chapters can be read once you sign up to become a member of the Alpha Polis community. The illustrations of the light novel are created by Ryuuta Fuse.
The light novel released chapters from March 22, 2013 to June 21, 2018. It has a total of 10 volumes available as a paperback.
Tsuyokute New Saga Manga Background
The manga adaptation of the work is credited to Jun Miura. It is serialized in the Alpha Polis website as well in February 2014. There are currently 9 volumes, with the 10th volume releasing this October 20, 2022. The manga is also being published into English by Alpha Manga.
