Surprising news for Vinland Saga manga readers this week. The series appears to be preparing to keep fans hanging for a long time. After all, fresh information regarding the manga and an impending break has emerged. According to the series creator, Vinland Saga will take a hiatus this month, but it will return later this spring.
The news comes from Kodansha, who stated that Vinland Saga will not release a new chapter in Afternoon as planned. While Afternoon publishes its monthly issue at the end of each month, a new chapter was set to be released over the weekend. Vinland Saga, on the other hand, was absent this time, and series creator Makoto Yukimura explained his absence immediately after the magazine’s release.
The artist claims that the manga’s February vacation has nothing to do with his health or any other personal difficulties. It boiled down to his artwork. Yukimura expressed dissatisfaction with his recent manga art, therefore an extension was given.

So, no, Vinland Saga is not going on a long break or anything. Yukimura appears to be a perfectionist when it comes to his painting, and fans will hopefully be able to witness the rewards of his labor in March.
If you are unfamiliar with the current run of Vinland Saga, you should be aware that it is a popular series under Kodansha. Vinland Saga’s manga is now simpler to read online and in print than ever before, thanks to a blockbuster anime. If anime is more your speed, season two debuted early this year and can be available streaming on Crunchyroll, Amazon Prime, and other platforms.
It seems like a multitude of mangas and anime are taking breaks this month, which means there won’t be much content until early spring. What do you think of the sudden break announcement of the manga? Do you think it will affect the current artwork of the story?
