If you are one of the manga fans of Cipher Academy manga and have been looking forward to its English release since it came out, Viz Media and Manga Plus has some good news for you!

On Sunday, Viz Media and MANGA Plus began publishing NisiOisin and Yji Iwasaki’s Cipher Academy (Ang Gakuen no Iroha) manga in English. On November 27, MANGA Plus will release the manga’s second chapter.

MANGA Plus describes the story:

Iroha is an average student newly enrolled in Cipher Academy, a Spartan school where students must crack code after code after code with barely enough time to catch their breath! Then a mysterious person named Kogoe gives Iroha an unusual pair of glasses with a crazy secret behind them!

It can be recalled that on the 30th of August 2022, Shuseisha launched “MANGA Plus Creators by SHUEISHA” a platform where all artists around the world can freely upload their work, with no hassle. This site gives creators immediate access to various audiences around the world, including Japan. 

MANGA Plus is a user-submitted manga app and web service for global audiences. Creators can submit their manga from anywhere around the world and it will be viewable via the MANGA Plus Creators by SHUEISHA service. 

Similar to other Manga service providers, MANGA Plus will hold monthly manga awards which will be judged by the Shonen Jump+ editorial department. The winners of the awards will have a chance to publish their works on Shonen Jump+ via Japanese translation and will win up to  1 Million Yen in Cash Prize. 

Shonen Jump+ is one of the most widely-recognized manga providers around the world. The app launched on September 14, and it is a digital publication that offers manga to English users free of charge. 

The Cipher Academy manga was released on Monday in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine’s 51st issue by author NisiOisin (Monogatari series, Medaka Box, Juni Taisen: Zodiac War) and artist Yji Iwasaki. Iwasaki previously released one shots on Shonen Jump+ and Shonen Jump GIGA.
