Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Season 3 Trailer Released

The trailer for Season 3 of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun is revealed! It is slated to premiere on October 8, 2022 on NHK TV on 6:25 PM.

It also featured the opening theme song, “Giri Giri Ride It Out” by a J-pop boy group, FANTASTICS from EXILE TRIBE.

Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun follows the journey of a human boy named Iruma Suzuki in the demon world. He got sold off to the high ranking demon, Sullivan, because of his neglectful and greedy parents. Terrified, Iruma did not know what to do. However, Sullivan wanted to adopt him as his grandson and enrolled him to a demon school, Babyls School for Demons. Iruma tried his best to blend in with the demons, thus hiding his true identity as a human. Sullivan also warned him that the moment anyone finds out he’s a human, he will be eaten. He met many demons along the way and get to know them better. He also discovered something crucial about himself.

The trailer included the highlights from Season 3, in which Iruma and his demon classmates are experiencing the ‘harvest season’. They are tasked to compete with each other in a dangerous jungle in order to secure food for themselves. Everyone intends to make use of their own wits and abilities, so rivalry happened. Will Iruma be able to surpass this competition?

Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Season 2 Recap

The Season 2 of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun premiered from April 17 to September 11, 2021. It premiered on NHK TV, as well as on Crunchyroll, Muse Asia’s YouTube channel, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and many others. It has 21 episodes in total. Bandai Namco Pictures is the animation producer.

Season 2 is Iruma’s happy adjustment to the demon world. He still has to hide his identity as a human, but he had found a new ambition: to be strong and rank high in the world. But what he did not expect is the club he is a member in got dismissed, therefore delaying his ambition.

He became a part of the student council, which was headed by the very cold Amelie Azazel. Despite Iruma’s struggle in the organization, he still is intent in helping Amelie and the other members out. However, Amelie started to show strange changes in her personality, putting the student council’s reputation at risk. Will Iruma be able to save the student council in time?

Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Manga Background

Osamu Nishi is the author and illustrator of the manga, Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun. He started serializing the work in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shounen Champion in 2017. In that same year, the paperback and digital releases of the volume 1 is on sale. As of August 2022, there have been 28 volumes published, with the 29th volume releasing in October 6, 2022.

In July 2022, Kodansha USA acquired the license to publish Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun manga in English.

A spin-off manga, We Are the Protagonists of the Demon World, serialized on Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shounen Champion in 2020. As of August 2022, there are 10 volumes on sale.
