Fans of the beloved manga and anime series Hunter x Hunter have reason to rejoice as its creator, Yoshihiro Togashi, has hinted at the long-awaited return of the manga. Togashi took to Twitter on Monday to share a cryptic message and image, reigniting hopes among enthusiasts worldwide.
In a tweet posted on Oct 2, Togashi shared a photo of a portion of a manuscript with the enigmatic message, “Start over,” setting the community abuzz with excitement and anticipation.
Togashi previously disclosed in March that he had completed Chapter 401 of the series. However, he refrained from confirming a specific date for the manga’s return to serialization, leaving fans to wonder when they would be able to delve back into the captivating world of Hunter x Hunter.
Previously, fans of the popular manga had to endure a nearly four-year hiatus, starting November 2018, before the manga finally returned in the 47th issue of Shueisha’s magazine in October 2022. The series then went back on hiatus in January due to Togashi’s health concerns. During this period, Shueisha, the publisher of Hunter x Hunter, issued a statement confirming that the manga would no longer follow a weekly serialized format.
About Hunter X Hunter

Yoshihiro Togashi originally launched Hunter x Hunter in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1998. The series became hugely popular, resulting in two anime series, two movies, and several anime video anime titles.
Its story is described as follows:
Gon might be a country boy, but he has high aspirations. Despite his Aunt Mito’s protests, Gon decides to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a legendary Hunter. The Hunter hopefuls begin their journey by storm-tossed ship, where Gon meets Leorio and Kurapika, the only other applicants who aren’t devastated by bouts of seasickness. Having survived the terrors of the high seas, Gon and his companions now have to prove their worth in a variety of tests in order to find the elusive Exam Hall. And once they get there, will they ever leave alive…?
While the exact return date of Hunter x Hunter remains shrouded in mystery, Yoshihiro Togashi’s recent teaser has undoubtedly rekindled excitement among fans. As they eagerly await more information, the promise of new chapters and adventures in this beloved series is enough to keep the “Hunter x Hunter” community buzzing with anticipation.
