After the release of One Piece’s most recent chapter, 1060, a big revelation was revealed regarding the position of Sabo. Apparently, all this time, he was hiding in the Kingdom of Lulusia, one of the Eight countries that revolted after the Reverie. It was a perfect hiding spot for someone who is being hunted down by the marines for the alleged murder of the King of the Kingdom of Alabasta.
Sabo’s disappearance had been bothering the Revolutionary Army, and when they finally got his transponder snail call and his location, a new theory regarding the Ancient Weapons in one piece emerged. A transponder snail call came to the Kamabakka kingdom while they were all anxiously waiting for news about Sabo, and it was during this call with Ivankov that Sabo was able to finally report the disappearance of the Kingdom of Lulusia. Sabo said he saw a massive object hovering above the Kingdom of Lulusia which made the whole kingdom disappear as if it did not exist in the first place.
A theory on Reddit claims that the One that destroyed the Kingdom is the third and final Ancient weapon, Uranus and that the three ancient weapons nullify each other, much like when you play rock, paper, scissors. This means the only way they can be destroyed is if they were made to fight with each other.
This theory escalates when it began mentioning the possibility of the Ancient Weapons being possessed by the three major conflicting forces of the One Piece series: The Straw Hats, the World Government, and the Blackbeard Pirates. Uranus would belong to the World Government, Poseidon with the Blackbeard Pirates, and Pluton (which was apparently in Wano) with the Straw hats. If this becomes a possibility, the big war would be stopped only if one of the forces destroy its designated counterpart. However, with the latest events in One Piece, is this theory really possible?

As far as the Manga goes, One Piece has only officially revealed one of the three ancient weapons: Poseidon. Shirahoshi is Poseidon, the mermaid princess is able to control the sea monsters as she pleases. With every command, with every cry, she gives orders to the scariest creatures of the ocean. Back in Fishman Island, the King, King Neptune, revealed that a mermaid with this kind of ability is born only after a short period of time.
The last time a mermaid princess like Shirahoshi was born was when Joyboy, the legendary figure of the Void century was still alive. Joyboy and the last Poseidon promised each other to meet again, but because of some mysterious event, this never happened.
When Shirahoshi was conceived, then Pirate King, Gol D. Roger was able to sense the beginning of an era. Like Shirahoshi, Roger was also able to hear sea monsters. But he is not able to give them commands. Roger heard one of the sea monsters rejoicing as the chosen one was coming. This indicated that the next Poseidon was to be born.
Undoubtedly, months later, Shirahoshi was born, and 19 years in the future, she meets the one who is destined to be Joyboy’s descendant, the one who carries the Will of D who may fulfill the vow, and the wielder of the Human-Human Fruit, Luffy.
The other ancient weapons are yet to be revealed, but it is certain that one of the ancient weapons is in Wano. If the theory is correct, this ancient weapon should be the ship, Pluton. In Water 7 and Enies’ Lobby, the Straw Hats’ most important figures were recruited: Franky, the shipwright, and Robin (officially), the crew’s Archaeologist.

No information has been revealed about the Ancient Weapon, Pluton thus far, but it is certain that the weapon is a ship built before the void century. It is a highly advanced war battleship capable of mass destruction. It is the World Government’s worst enemy, but it could also be their strongest asset, which is why the acquisition of this ship is necessary for the big war. If the theory is correct, the ship should be in Wano, and the straw hats may have it in their possession.
Going back to the question, is the theory possible? Why and Why not? The theory on Reddit by r/andreconde states that the ancient weapons nullify each other. If they are correct that Uranus is a flying object that can only shoot canyons straight down, then there is a possibility that the theory may be feasible.
A loophole in the theory is with regard to the ancient weapon, Poseidon. At this point in the manga, it is unsure what the next step of the straw hats is. It is known for sure that Poseidon, or Shirahoshi, is currently in alliance with the Straw Hats. Fishman Island is no longer under the rule of Big Mom, rather, the Island is now under the protection of the Straw Hats. Whoever chooses to mess with the Kingdom will be doomed.
Following the theory, Poseidon, if captured, will be under the rule of the Blackbeard pirates because of the hypnosis capability of one of Teach’s subordinates. However, it is highly unlikely that Luffy would allow this to happen, especially because he has Jinbei on board. Luffy has vowed to protect Fishman Island like how he has vowed to protect Wano and Dressrosa. If he allows such an atrocity to happen to the one and only princess of their nation, and to one of the ancient weapons, it would be… a letdown.
Another reason why this whole situation couldn’t be possible is that the series is yet to feature a fight between Luffy and Shanks (canonically). The whole fandom is convinced that the Luffy-Shanks fight might be the trigger for the big war, and that possibility has not been closed. Shanks is an asset to the World Government. The only reason he has not been captured is that he is the one that the world leaders call unto when they are in a tough situation.
Shanks is also the one who gives intel to the WG about the whole situation in the new world. He keeps an eye on everyone and everything. When the legendary fight between Luffy and Shanks occurs, not only would the World Government lose a key figure, but they would also be made aware that Monkey D. Luffy is way stronger than their supposedly strongest ally. Following the theory, Blackbeard would be irrelevant if a fight was to occur. He is not a part of why the big war would happen, nor would he be relevant at all if a war was to occur, but who knows?
The events in the manga… are all over the place at the moment. Luffy just received intel regarding Sabo and Vivi’s situation, everyone, especially the members who were with her (Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji, Usopp, and Chopper) during Alabasta are all restlessly worried about her well-being. Luffy is set on retrieving his brother and helping him out, but Zoro is insisting they move forward.
It is unsure whether the straw hats would meddle with the events of the Reverie or not. But one thing is for certain: Monkey D. Luffy cannot sit still. He is hard-headed and a fool. But his resolve is always right. Eiichiro Oda leaves no stone unturned, so the best thing to do now is to sit and wait for what happens next.
If the theory is correct, One Piece is going to have the biggest battle in the history of Anime and Manga. With three forces colliding, it will be very hard to tell who’s going to win and who is going to lose.
