Aniplus Asia has made an announcement that it will be airing the simulcast of “Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 3” starting in March.
The anime will be divided into two parts, with the first part set to air on March 4th at 12:25 AM. While the length of each part has not been officially confirmed by NHK, the March 4th airing is referred to as a “special broadcast,” which hints that each part may be a standalone special episode rather than a multiple-episode installment.
The “Attack on Titan The Final Season” anime first aired on NHK in December 2020, with a total of 16 episodes. Aniplus-Asia simulcasted the anime in Southeast Asia while Muse Asia also streamed it on iQIYI. The franchise’s first television anime season premiered in April 2013 and was followed by the second season in April 2017, with the first part of the third season premiering in July 2018. The second half of the third season was broadcasted on NHK in April 2019 and was simulcasted by Aniplus-Asia.
The original “Attack on Titan” manga was created by Hajime Isayama and first published in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in 2009. The series ran for 12 years, ending in April 2021 with its 34th and final volume being released in June of that year. Kodansha USA Publishing released the English version of the manga both in print and digital form, with the 34th volume being made available in October 2021.
