The plot centers around Rin Okumura, who was raised by an Exorcist, Father Shiro Fujimoto along with his younger twin brother Yukio Okumura. Rin discovers one day that he and Yujio are Satan’s sons. When Rin sees Shiro die to protect him, he draws the demon-slaying sword Kurikara (倶利伽羅), which controls his demonic powers. Rin is surprised to learn that Yukio is a seasoned Exorcist and one of his teachers. Thus begins Rin’s journey to become an Exorcist, joined by his brother and his fellow pupils who rapidly become his close friends.
