Fans are enjoying the arrival of Blue Lock‘s 2nd cour last January 7, 2023! On top of that, the opening theme sequence for 2nd cour is released. It is entitled, “Judgment” by ASH DA HERO.
ASH DA HERO is a Japanese band consisted of 5 members that was formed last September 2021. Their songs explore the genre of rock, punk, and hip hop.
“Judgment” will be released as the band’s single by February 22, 2023. They also plan to have a live performance of the song on April 8, 2023 in Zepp DiverCity Tokyo. Ticket information can be found in their official website.

The video includes 2D art of Blue Lock characters, as well as snippets from the anime. The energetic beat of the song represents the atmosphere of the anime. It is full of action, tension, and determination from the players. At the same time, it can wear them off too.
Blue Lock Synopsis
Yoichi Isagi is embittered by the loss of his high school soccer team in the national competition. This is because he made the decision of passing the ball to his teammate. Then one day, he received an invitation from the Japan Football Union to become part of the controversial project, ‘Blue Lock’. The participants are three hundred best strikers in the entire country.
‘Blue Lock’ intends to select one among the three hundred to become the star striker in the Japanese national team. The participants would have to compete with one another through a series of solo and team competitions. Isagi willingly put aside his ethical reservations about the project and aims to become the star striker.

Blue Lock Anime Background
The 1st cour of Blue Lock aired in October 9, 2022 with 12 episodes. The 2nd cour will also have 12 episodes, which totalled into 24 episodes overall for Season 1. The series is being produced by 8bit. Fans are going to be very much full of Blue Lock content for a time now!

Blue Lock Manga Backgrond
Muneyuki Kaneshiro is the author of Blue Lock manga while Yuusuke Nomura is the illustrator. It serialized on Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine in August 1, 2018. As of December 16, 2022, there are 22 volumes published as a paperback and e-book.
Kodansha USA is publishing the manga into English. Initially, it only has digital versions available, but they are now being printed into paperbacks as of 2021. As of November 15, 2022, there are a total of 16 volumes published.
