Anyone else missing Kuroko and the rest of the gang from the classic sports anime Kuroko’s Basketball? Here’s some good news! Kuroko’s Basketball and the rest of the franchise recently celebrated their 10th Year Anniversary, and to commemorate the special occasion, a new music video featuring new anime clips was released!
Tadatoshi Fujimaki’s Kuroko’s Basketball franchise’s official YouTube account began streaming the franchise’s 10th-anniversary music video on Friday. The video includes new animation material by Production I.G as well as GRANRODEO’s new song “Zero Step.”
To anyone who’s unfamiliar with this legendary series, it basically is a basketball anime that centers around the main players of the famous Miracle Generation and their 6th hidden Member, the show’s protagonist, Kuroko. The plot revolves around victories and losses, but it’s also just a light-hearted anime about High School boys trying to take their spot in the ever-changing world.

The franchise’s tenth-anniversary celebration began in April and will continue until March 2023. The initiative also includes a new key art exhibition for the anime, which debuted in April in Tokyo and in June in Osaka. There was also a “10th Anniversary Party!” display in Tokyo in July and one in Osaka in September. In April, a new official franchise store debuted for a year at the Ikebukuro Parco department store. The NAMJATOWN amusement park in Tokyo hosts events all year, and Namco offers numerous Kuroko’s Basketball prizes in its amusement locations such as arcades across the country.
The first television anime series aired in 2012, with a second season following in 2013, and a third season following in 2015. Kuroko’s Basketball The Movie LAST GAME (Gekijban Kuroko no Basuke Last Game), an anime film based on Tadatoshi Fujimaki’s Kuroko no Basuke Extra Game sequel manga, was released in Japan in March 2017.
From 2008 through 2014, Fujimaki serialized his Kuroko’s Basketball manga in Weekly Shonen Jump. The manga was published in English by Viz Media.
