The official website for Yu Tomofuji’s Sacrificial Princess & the King of Beasts (Niehime to Kemono no Ou) tv anime began streaming the first PV for the anime. The video teases the anime’s cast and its April 2023 premiere date.
Chiaki Kon (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal: Season III) is directing the series at J.C. Staff. The series if being composed by Seishi Minakami (A Certain Scientific Railgun), and the characters are designed by Shinya Hasegawa (Revolutionary Girl Utena). The sound director is Jin Aketagawa (The Devil Is a Part-Timer), and the music is composed by Kohta Yamamoto (Attack on Titan The Final Season). The anime is being produced by WOWMAX and the music is by Pony Canyon.

Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts is written and illustrated by Yū Tomofuji. It was serialized in Hakusensha’s shōjo manga magazine Hana to Yume from Novemer 2015 to October 2020. Yen Press licensed the series in North America and released the first volume in May 2018. The manga is also licensed in Germany under Carlsen Verlag. The special edition of the manga’s sixth volume includes an audio CD drama adaptation of the series. A spin-off manga began serialization in Hana to Yume on August 20, 2022.
