Hajime Isayama’s hit manga and anime series, Attack on Titan is finally going into its final arc, and with that, many fans are excited to see the fate of the characters we’ve all come to love in the past decade. Here’s a glimpse of what to expect in the finale of the loved anime series.
With the release of the latest trailer for Attack on Titan’s final episodes, the series is about to delve into some incredibly dark territory. The upcoming episodes may just take the cake in terms of brutality for a series that has been known for its brutal instances as the Scout Regiment struggled to understand the world they were living in while avoiding being eaten by rampaging giants. One scene, in particular, was highlighted in the recent trailer, confirming that Eren isn’t holding back with his new army.
When Eren Jaeger arrived in the nation of Marley in this new season, he was reckless with the health of those around him, attempting to exact revenge on those who had targeted both himself and his friends in the previous three seasons. With the power of the Founding Titan at his disposal and an army of Colossal Titans at his disposal, Eren is on a mission to exterminate everyone and everything outside the borders of Paradis, and it’s not going to be pretty in the show’s future.

Without getting too far into spoilers, the manga for Attack on Titan does an excellent job of highlighting Eren’s destructive path, with countless men, women, and children being trampled by the Colossal Titans. While there may have been doubts in previous episodes about whether Eren was someone viewers could root for despite his schemes, the final episodes will demonstrate that Jaeger has undoubtedly ventured into uncharted territory for himself, and the world will suffer as a result.
The next installment of Attack on Titan will be released in March, with the final episodes split into two as the Scout Regiment’s final journey will mostly feature the Scout Regiment battling their way to Eren and then deciding what to do once they meet their former friend. Regardless of who wins this final battle, the story of Attack on Titan will not end happily.
