Hit rom-com manga series Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! is finally getting a TV anime in 2023. The big news was delivered by author Kai Ikada herself on Tuesday, Oct 25, through her official Twitter account. The announcement was accompanied by a celebratory illustration, as can be seen below:
Japanese voice actress Ayane Sakura will be voicing the heroine, Minami Fuyuki. Sakura was most known for being the voice behind popular anime characters, such as Ochaco Uraraka in My Hero Academia, Gabi Braun in Attack on Titan, Haru Onodera in Nisekoi, and Yotsuba Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets.
Other cast members and staff of the TV anime are yet to be announced.
First launched in 2019, Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! was first serialized for free on the Shōnen Jump+ website. The series was later published by Shueisha into 8 tankōbon volumes.

Its story is described as follows:
High school boy Tsubasa moves to Kitami City up in Hokkaido, where he meets a “gal” at a bus stop. The sight of her standing alone against the white snowscape, bare-legged despite the freezing cold, captures his heart.
