All good things must come to an end, even fine light novel series! Rifujin na Magonote’s Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation isn’t an exception. The isekai light novel series is set to end in its next volume’s release. The news came after the official website of Kadokawa revealed the novel will “finally end in volume 26!”
According to the post, a special book is set to roll out in November 25 to mark the end of the series. Said book, titled Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Special Book, shall contain interviews with the author and illustrator of the series, never-before-published stories, and more.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation follows the adventures of Rudeus Greyrat. Its story is described as follows:
Kicked out by his family and wandering the streets, an unemployed 34-year-old shut-in thinks he’s hit rock-bottom—just as he’s hit and killed by a speeding truck! Awakening to find himself reborn as an infant in a world of swords and sorcery, but with the memories of his first life intact, Rudeus Greyrat is determined not to repeat his past mistakes. He’s going to make the most of this reincarnation as he sets off on the adventure of a second lifetime!

The series was written by Rifujin na Magonote. It began as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2012. Two years after, MF Books published it as a light novel series. Yuka Fujikawa eventually adapted it into a manga.
In 2021, the series received an anime adaptation under Studio Bind. The first season covered six (6) volumes of the original novel. Its second season is scheduled to premiere next year.
