Great Rimuru returns in season 3 of That Time I Got Reincarnared as a Slime(Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) as announced by the staff of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Guren No Kizunua-hen during an early screening of the upcoming anime film in Tokyo. Further details of the upcoming season three are yet to be revealed.
Here’s the key visual for season 3 unveiled by the staff.

The film, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond is set to premiere in Japan on November 25. Excluding Asia, Crunchyroll will screen the movie in all major global territories in early 2023. The rollout of the film overseas will begin in December and will include the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, France, Germany, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South and Central America. The film is also planned to screen in other countries and regions.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime began as a fantasy light novel written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. It was first serialized online on the user-generated novel publishing website Shousetsuka ni Narou! (Let’s Become Novelists!) from 2013 to 2016, It was later acquired by Micro Magazine, which published the novel’s first volume in 2014. As of September 2022, twenty volumes have been released.
Yen Press licensed the light novel in North America and published the first volume in December 2017. Kodansha published the manga adaptation by Taika Kawakami on March 26, 2015. The manga currently has five spin-off manga series. The first one entitled That Time I Got Reincarnated as Slime: How Monsters Walk (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Mamono no Arukikata) illustrated by Shō Okagiri has been serialized on Micro Magazine’s Comic Ride website since July 28, 2016.

The second spin-off manga, The Slime Dairies: That Time I got reincarnated as a Slime (Tensura Nikki: Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) with art by Shiba, has been serialized under Kodansha’s shōnen manga magazine Monthly Shōnen Sirius since March 2018 and licensed in English by Kodansha USA.
The third spin-off manga titled That Time I Got Reincarnated (Again!) as a Workhalic Slime (Tensei Shitara Shachiku Datta Ken) began serialization in Kodansha’s Niconico–based Suiyōbi no Sirius manga web platform on September 26, 2018. It is illustrated by Shizuku Akechi.

The fourth spin-off title is That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Trinity in Tempest, with art by Tae Tono also began serialization in Suiyōbi no Sirius on March 14, 2019. And a fifth spin-off manga centered around Demon Lord Clayman, entitled That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Clayman’s Revenge, illustrated by Wataru Kajika began serialization in Monthly Shōnen Sirius on April 2022.
The series was adapted by Eight Bit into tv anime that aired from October 2018 to March 2021. The second season aired from January 2021 to September 2021, and the anime adaptation for The Slime Diaries, the second spin-off manga aired from April to June 2021.
