One of these companions was Zenitsu Agatsuma, a skilled demon slayer who joined their mission. Little did they know that the mansion was crawling with a dangerous demon, the menacing Kyogai, who had the ability to manipulate the rooms in the mansion, turning it into a hazardous maze. As they entered the mansion, they were also joined by the fierce demon slayer Inosuke Hashibira.
Mount Natagumo Arc

As Tanjiro and his fellow demon slayers continued on their mission, they made their way to Natagumo Mountain. But as they approached the mountain, they began to sense that something was not quite right. Soon, they found themselves face-to-face with the Spider Demon Family, a powerful group of demons led by Rui, one of the Twelve Demon Moons – the most powerful demons led by Muzan, each of whom possesses a unique ability and a mark on their body that corresponds to their demon power rank. This harrowing encounter tested the power of Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke as they fought for their lives against some of the deadliest demons they had ever encountered.
Rehabilitation Training Arc

After their grueling battle on Natagumo Mountain, Tanjiro and Nezuko were put to the test by the pillars, the strongest members of the Demon Slayer Corps. This test was to determine if Nezuko could overcome her innate demon instincts and resist the urge to consume human flesh. While the pillar’s ultimate goal was to eradicate all demons, Nezuko was a unique case and differed greatly from other demons.
Once she passed, they were taken to the Butterfly Mansion to recover from their wounds. There, Tanjiro was reunited with Zenitsu and Inosuke, who were also on the mend. As they underwent rehabilitation, they trained with the mansion’s residents, honing their skills in total concentration breathing.
Mugen Train Arc
|54 – 69||Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train (27 – 34)|
In the Mugen Train arc, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke embarked on a perilous journey aboard a train where they faced numerous deadly demons. Accompanied by the Fire Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku, they were pitted against Enmu – a cunning demon with the power to put passengers in a dream-like state by fusing with the train. As they uncover shocking truths about the city’s seedy underworld, they come face to face with the robust brother-sister duo, Daki, and Gyutaro – two powerful Upper Moon demons who prove to be durable enemies.

In this Arc, we get an inside look at the rigorous training program designed to help Demon Slayers improve their skills and physical abilities. Our heroes undertake a draining regimen that tests their endurance, strength, and speed led by the pillars themselves, including Uzui Tengen, who focuses on endurance, and Muichiro Tokito, who teaches them swift movement techniques. The Love Pillar, Kanroji Mitsuri who emphasizes the importance of flexibility, and Obanai who teaches Tanjiro how to master his sword. The pillars help them to develop their skills and become better prepared for the battles that lie ahead. As they push themselves to the limit and overcome obstacles, they grow stronger both as individuals and as a team.
As the rigorous training continues, the Demon Slayers soon discover that a sneaky demon is spying on them, making their already difficult journey even more dangerous. In the heart-pumping climax of the Demon Slayer anime, the Demon Slayer Corps launched a decisive attack on the notorious Muzan Kibutsuji, who had been weakened by Tamayo’s poison. The stakes were sky-high as they had to take down the demon before sunrise. After an epic battle, the Corps succeeded in vanquishing Muzan, but the victory came at a hefty cost. While Nezuko was cured of her demonic curse, Tanjiro was turned into a demon, and his friends were forced to come together to defeat him.
The fate of the young protagonist hung in the balance until Tanjiro reawakened as a human, thanks to the unwavering support of Nezuko and his friends, who made him realize his importance to everyone else.
